Anthony Porcaro was born on March 24, 1975 in the Bronx, New York.
He graduated from Iona Preparatory High School in 1993 and then Iona College in 1997. During his school years he managed, bartended, and valet parked cars at Mulino’s of Westchester in White Plains, New York, Edmundo’s Italian Restaurant in Eastchester, New York, and Scores Men’s Caberet in New York, New York.
Towards the end of 1997, he moved to Las Vegas where he managed and bartended at TreVisi and La Scala Italian Restaurants in the MGM Grand Hotel. These two restaurants were connected and owned by Franco Nuschese whom also owns Café Milano in Washington, D.C.
He moved to Dallas, Texas in March 1999 to open Nick and Sam’s Steakhouse alongside world-renowned restaurateur Phil Romano. There, he climbed from Assistant Manager to General Manager during the years of 1999 and 2000. During 2001 and 2002, he transitioned from General Manager to Operating Partner.
He maintained this position with Nick and Sam’s Steakhouse until 2008. He opened Medici Lounge for Phil Romano and operated it during its entirety (2004, 2005, 2006). He assisted in the opening of Il Mulino’s in Dallas, Texas. In May 2008, he left Nick and Sam’s Steakhouse and Romano Concepts.
From November 2008 to November 2011, he was the creator, owner, and operator of Bella Restaurant Bar. He received 4 stars in the Dallas Morning News and D Magazine named Bella one of Dallas Top Ten New Restaurants in 2008.
He is currently the General Manager at Dee Lincoln’s Restaurant and Bubble Bar & Cowboy Stadium Silver Suites Level in Arlington, Texas.
